Recover password Linksys router rv042 wrt54g

When a password is forgotten, it can lead to a very big panic on the administrator’s part.  Thankfully there are ways to recover passwords and reset them easily and without having to spend days thinking of what that password could be and not having access to the network and things you need to do to it. If the LinkSys rv042 router password is forgotten the easiest thing to do is reset the router to its initial setting and start all over.

To do this, you would hold the reset button on the unit for 30 seconds; this will perform what is known as a hard reset. A soft reset is much like restarting the device whereas a hard reset will erase all information, setting, and profiles on the router. Once a hard reset has been performed you will need to go to http://192.168.1.1 to reset the router configuration to the way they were. This includes setting a new password. When logging into the above mentioned website please note that the Username is Admin and the Password is Admin to find other default passwords visit http://www.passwordsdatabase.com/.
