Reversing Folder Redirection
Careful planning makes it easy to reverse folder redirection later on.
Say you use Group Policy redirect My Documents folders to a file server on your network. Then later on you change your mind and you want to undo this and have My Documents redirected back to client machines. Simply deleting the GPO or unlinking it from the OU where the user accounts reside isn’t sufficient, you’ll have to actually reverse the setting in the GPO that makes redirection happen—unless you were smart enough to select the “Redirect the folder back to the local user profile location when policy is removed” when you originally configured redirection.
