Disable Firefox remember password feature
FireFox: How To Disable The Password Feature
An alarming fact of Firefox’s ability to remember passwords, is that they are saved in the program as plain text, meaning that anyone with access to your browser can learn your passwords. If you have a machine that is secure, this might not be a problem, but if there are multiple users, you may want to consider not using this feature.
This process below will walk you through disabling password saving. Remember though, without this feature you’ll need to remember your username and password for every site that requires you to log in.
1. Open Firefox.
2. Click Tools >> Options >> Privacy.
3. Click on the + sign next to the words “Saved Passwords”.
A. Click the “Passwords” tab in newer versions.
4. Click “View Saved Passwords”.
5. Click “Remove All”.
6. Click “Close”.
7. Check / Uncheck “Remember Passwords.”
8. “OK”.
