Windows XP: How To Add An Additional Language
It only requires an eight step process to add a new language to Windows XP, and set it as the default language. This default is the language that will be used when the computer starts. Language templates are available via Windows Update, or may be downloaded from Microsoft.
1. Click START >> Control Panel.
2. Double-click “Regional and Language Options”.
3. Click the Languages tab.
4. Under “Text Services and Input Languages”, click Details.
5. Click Add under “Installed Services”.
6. Click the language you want to add and the keyboard layout you’d prefer for that language.
7. Under “Default Input Languages”, select the new language.
8. Restart the computer.
